(sku AX05c AutoLoc) POWER ANTENNA WIRING DIRECTIONS

(Click on Pictures below to enlarge)

Cut the WIRING HARNESS off of the OLD POWER ANTENNA.  DO NOT CUT the other end of the wiring harness connected to your vehicle.

Unplug the ANTENNA CABLE from your OLD POWER ANTENNA.
This Power Antenna will not plug into your exisitng power antenna wiring harness.  All wires must be spliced in order to connect this power antenna.

Connecting the wires is very easy, all you will need is a 12 Volt Meter that will be used to identify your vehicles constant 12 Volt wire and the radio 12 volt wire which produces a current whenever the radio is turned on/off.  Those are the only two wires that need to be spliced.

Splice the NEW POWER ANTENNA WIRES into the wiring harness that was cut off of the OLD POWER ANTENNA.  Then plug it into the wiring harness on your car so you will have a nice clean factory install.
1. Splice the RED Power Antenna Wire with the wire on your vehicle that has a constant 12 Volt Current, or to any wire that produces a 12 volt current with the ignition switch.

2. Splice the GREEN Power Antenna Wire with the wire on your vehicle which produces a current whenever the radio is turned on/off. Click (here) for our POWER ANTENNA Vehicle Wire Chart.

DO NOT splice the BLACK GROUND WIRE on the new power antenna to the BLACK WIRE from the vehicle's WIRING HARNESS.

3. Attach the BLACK Power Antenna GROUND Wire to an exposed metal section on the fender (this is the ground wire)

Most American & Asian Vehicles will use the MALE or FEMALE adapter, while most European Vehicles will use the THREADED SCREW adapter.
4. Connect the thick BLACK Power Antenna Cable to the existing Antenna Cable that was unplugged from the Old Power Antenna.

THAT'S IT, YOU ARE ALL DONE!!!!!

PLEASE NOTE:  BEFORE TESTING THE ANTENNA MAKE SURE THE ANTENNA NUT IS SCREWED ONTO THE TOP OF THE ANTENNA, THIS IS NECESSARY BECAUSE IT KEEPS THE ANTENNA MAST FROM COMING ALL THE WAY OUT OF THE ANTENNA SHAFT WHEN YOU RAISE THE ANTENNA MAST.
