If you cannot get your New Power Antenna to work, please try the following
before you contact us:
- Make sure you have properly grounded the new power antenna by connecting
the Black wire to a screw on the vehicle that has a good contact with metal.
- Double check the wiring on your vehicle
- Test the new power antenna directly on the car battery.
PLEASE MAKE SURE THE ANTENNA NUT IS SCREWED ONTO THE TOP
OF THE ANTENNA, THIS IS NECESSARY BECAUSE IT KEEPS THE ANTENNA MAST FROM
COMING ALL THE WAY OUT OF THE ANTENNA SHAFT WHEN YOU RAISE THE ANTENNA MAST. Connect the black
wire to the negative terminal on the battery. Connect the Red, then Green
wires to the positive terminal on the Battery. The Power Antenna should go up.
- If it works on the battery, and not when it is installed then retest your
wiring on the vehicle. Some vehicles have a relay switch built into the car
somewhere. You will then need to bypass the relay (black box) on the new power
antenna. Or rewire the new power antenna directly to the radio and battery.
A. If you have a Toyota
4Runner or Mazda RX-7, you will have to bypass the relay.
B. To bypass the relay on
the new antenna, just cut the 3 wires going to the black box
on the new antenna. Then wire these 3 wires directly to your vehicle, one
should be grounded to the body of the fender, one is the up wire, one is the
down wire. Please refer to your vehicles wiring by testing which wires
provide power up and power down with a volt meter.
If you tested the new power antenna directly on the battery and it did not
work, please email us at
